About

Welcome to my blog! I am Debby Acevedo, Instructional Technology Specialist at Vic Robertson Elementary. My Bachelor's degree from Southwestern University is in English, Speech, and Secondary Education, and my Master of Arts degree from Pepperdine University is in Learning Technologies.

Throughout my years in education, I have presented at conferences including the Texas Middle School Conference, Texas Mentor School Conference, and Texas Association of Secondary School Principals, and was published in English in Texas. During my teaching career, I was a trainer for Texas Future Problem Solving and for Project CRISS, but more recently became a Promethean Curriculum Developer and a Google Certified Trainer. In my capacity as an Instructional Technology Specialist I have provided workshops both face-to-face and online at the campus and district levels on a variety of technology integration topics.

After seventeen years of classroom experience teaching middle school language arts, speech, and theater and seventeen years of experience working with instructional technology, I still learn something new every day! Please visit frequently and explore with me. Together we'll stay actively engaged in the world of 21st Century learning.
